Mary Ann Recker
GLANDORF - Mary Ann Recker, 70, of Glandorf, died at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 2, 1945 in Lima to the late Albert and Irene (Karhoff) Ellerbrock. On November 6, 1965 she married James Recker who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are 4 children: Christine (Ted Herman) Recker-Herman of Ottoville, Deborah (Jerry) Brown of Glandorf, Barbara (Todd) Hoersten of Ottoville, and Patrick (Emily) Recker of Glandorf; 9 grandchildren: Zachary Herman, Nicholas Herman, Olesya Herman, Alyssa Brown, Haley Hoersten, Kylee Hoersten, Jeremy Hoersten, Abigail Recker, and Jocelyn Recker; and a sister: Linda (Dennis) Moening of Glandorf. She was also preceded in death by a son: Ronald Recker.
Mary Ann was a seamstress and for 13 years she was a Pharmacy Technician for Tucker's in Glandorf. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Rosary Altar Society. She loved to travel, take vacations, and go shopping. Mary Ann was very crafty and was known for making curtains and doing alterations.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Capital Improvement Fund for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
