Mary A. Thomas
OTTAWA - Mary Agnes Thomas died at 1:10 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born July 23, 1926 in Ottawa to the late Walter and Laura (Pentenburg) Goedde. On August 26, 1944 she married Cloice J. Thomas who died July 1, 1986.
She is survived by 2 sons: Robert (Renee) Thomas of Elmore, and Raymond (Paula) Thomas of Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a brother: James Goedde of Lima; and 2 sisters-in-law: Norma Goedde of Delphos and Patti Goedde of Ottawa. She was also preceded in death by 4 children: Ronald Thomas, Sandra Thomas, Nancy Thomas and William Thomas; 7 brothers: Paul, Richard, Raymond, Thomas, John, and Walter Goedde; and a sister-in-law: Shirley Goedde.
Mary retired from Metal Forge in Deshler after 22 1/2 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and was in the Prayer Network.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with the Very Reverend George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, 226 North Belmore St. , Leipsic. Memorials may be made to the Building on Generations Fund for St. Mary's Church.
