Mary Ann Warnement

KALIDA – Mary Ann Warnement, 93, of Kalida, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at her residence.  Her suffering here has been lifted.  She was born January 26, 1929, in Wauseon to the late Alice Rittichier, and adopted by the late Henry and Philomena (Beckman) Hotz.  On June 9, 1956, she married Leroy Warnement, he preceded her in death on January 31, 2010.  She has been reunited with her Leroy after nearly 13 years.

Mary Ann is survived by four children: Richard "Harry" (Joyce) Warnement of Coldwater, MI., Mitchell Warnement, Joseph Warnement, both of Lima, and Anthony Warnement of Columbia, SC.; four grandchildren: Jay (Mollie) Warnement, Holly (Brad) Parys, Zachary Warnement and Noelle Warnement; five great-grandchildren: Luke, Aubrey and Brooks Warnement and Madelyn and Allie Parys.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Dominique.

Mary Ann was the former owner of Country Barn Flowers and Gifts, Kalida.  She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, for 91 years and also a member of its Altar Rosary Society. Mary Ann was instrumental at bringing the Cub Scout Program to Kalida and was a Den Mother for many years.  She was also a member of the Starlight Club in Lima.

Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.
