Mary Jane Hunt
GLANDORF – Mary Jane Hunt, 65, of Glandorf died surrounded by her loving family at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1947 in Lima to Leo and Edna (Verhoff) Karhoff. Her father is deceased, her mother survives in Glandorf. On June 28, 1969 she married Daryl L. Hunt who died December 8, 2003.
Also surviving are three sons: David (Dora) Hunt of Glandorf, Jason (Dawn Ellerbrock) Hunt of Glandorf, and Brian (Kim) Hunt of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Leah and Lisa Hunt and Leeann and Benjamin Hunt; three sisters: Eileen (Mike) Roessner of Tiffin, Alice (Dale) Tobe of Glandorf, and Marilyn (Mark) Recker of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother-in-law: Doug (Nancy) Schroeder of Kalida; and a sister-in-law: Rosella Karhoff of Glandorf. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Harold Karhoff; a sister: Diane Schroeder; and her father and mother-in-law: Samuel and Lois Hunt.
Mary Jane was a homemaker and babysat for over 25 years. She had formerly worked at GTE Sylvania. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and its Rosary Altar Society. Mary Jane loved being with her grandkids and enjoyed all the children she babysat for over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice or to the Cancer Assistance Program.
