Mary Jane Smith
Kalida - Mary Jane Smith, 91, of Kalida died 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at The Meadows of Kalida.  She was born May 15, 1923 in Glandorf, to the late John and Louise (Mershman) Kehres.  On July 18, 1945, she married William J. Smith who died October 11, 1991.
Mary Jane is survived by 5 children: Linda (Larry) Rowe of Defiance, Betty Maag of Delphos, Connie (Dave) Warnement of Cloverdale,  Mike (Sue) Smith of Ottawa and Sharon (Curt) Donoho of Elida; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Emmy Hesseling.   She is preceded in death by 3 brothers: Richard, Alphonse and Othmar Kehres; 2 sisters: Donelda Smith and Alberta Deitring; and a son-in-law: John Maag.
Mary Jane was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society. Mary Jane loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
