Mary Ann L. Rosebrock

LEIPSIC – Mary Ann L. Rosebrock, 91, of Leipsic, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born June 15, 1932, in Defiance County to the late Albert and Frieda (Badenhop) Schroeder.  Mary Ann Married Arnold W. Rosebrock on October 21, 1956, in St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township.  Arnold survives in Leipsic.

Mary Ann is also survived by five children: Daniel Rosebrock, Patricia (Ron) Newell, both of Leipsic, Barry (Carla) Rosebrock of Ottawa, Richard Rosebrock, and Roger Rosebrock, both of Leipsic; nine grandchildren: Carrie (Anson) Wooten, Sarah (Ryan) Applegate, Joe (Ali) Rosebrock, Matthew (Allie) Rosebrock,  Kyle (Kaila) Rosebrock, Michael Rosebrock, and Isabelle Rosebrock, Josh (Jessica)Turnwald, Faith (Mike Cox) Butler; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Harriet Schroeder.

She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law:  Mindy Rosebrock; a son-in-law: Bernie Witten; and siblings: Raymond Schroeder, Herman (Tillie) Schroeder, Albert (Laura) Schroeder, Clara (Mel) Bostelman, Viola (Albert) Helberg, Amelia (Melvin) Bleeks, and Florence Schroeder.

Mary Ann was a long-time homemaker.  She also worked as a secretary at Ward Construction.  Mary Ann was a great cook and baker, especially her cinnamon rolls and egg noodles. Mary Ann was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Leipsic.  She loved polka music and gardening.  Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the First Lutheran Church, Leipsic with Rev. Julie Parsell officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.

Memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church, Leipsic, or a charity of the donor's choice.
