Mary Lou "Mert" Noirot
MILLER CITY – Mary Lou "Mert" Noirot, 85, of Miller City, passed away 8:16 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Kindred Hospital, Lima. She was born January 6, 1937 in Lima to the late Arthur "Pat" and Beulah (Wilfer) Noon. On July 24, 1954, she married Jack Noirot and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two children: Vickie (Izzy) Schnipke of Continental and Tami Palte of McClure; eight grandchildren: Tracy (Phil) Pidd, Jamie Trentman, Terry (Shanna) Schnipke, Andy (Megan) Schnipke, Kim (Dustin) Moenter, Amy (Doug Hoffman) Palte, Jacob Palte and Joe (Sahra) Palte; 15 great-grandchildren: Brianna, Ashlynn, Landon and Aubrey Trentman, Austin, Reese and Gabe Schnipke, Gavin and Avery Schnipke, Quincy and Archer Moenter, Lyndee and Jackson Palte-Hoffman, Camry and Kayce Palte; and a daughter-in-law, Joni (Terry) Anderson of Arlington.
She was also preceded in death by a son Rick Noirot; and three sisters: Shirley (Chuck) Grime, Sharon (Herman) Keel and Jeannie (Jack) David.
Mert retired from Miller City Local School where she worked as a cafeteria cook. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and Miller City Sportsman's Club. She enjoyed playing euchre. Mert loved spending time at the river and visiting her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the mass at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial donations may be made to Kindred Hospital, Lima.
