Mary Agnes Meyer
OTTAWA – Mary Agnes Meyer, 92, of Ottawa died 5:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 5, 1920 in St. Johns, Newfoundland to the late Michael and Mary Ann (Malloy) O'Toole. On April 2, 1945 she married Virgil H. Meyer who died August 25, 1989.
She is survived by a daughter: Diane (Ron) Gerding of Ottawa; 2 grandchildren: Amy (Bob) Williford and Jason (Kristi) Gerding; 4 great-grandchildren: Folline and Alex Williford and Cole and Greyson Gerding; a brother: Joseph (Loretta) O'Toole of St. Johns, Newfoundland; and 2 sisters-in-law: Marilyn Warnecke of Ottawa and Mary Ellen (George) Kuhbander of Leipsic.
Also preceding her in death were 7 brothers: Leo, Tom, Michael, Frank, Jack, Larry and Bernard O'Toole; and 2 sisters: Catherine "Kit" Kratochuil and Elizabeth "Bess" McCaffery.
Mary Agnes retired after 32 years with Philips ECG formerly of Ottawa. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Sylvania Bowling League and the American Legion Dance Club. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Alfons Minja officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Education Foundation
