Mary Rose Trenkamp

OTTAWA – Mary Rose Trenkamp, 88, of Ottawa died early morning, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at her residence.  She was born August 4, 1934 to the late Gilbert and Winifred (Meyer) Singer. On July 13, 1957, she married Kenneth Schuller. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1963. On October 8, 1966, she married Walter Trenkamp, Jr. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2019.

Also surviving are her daughters: Kathleen (Wilfrido) Castillo of Milwaukee, WI, Karen Rutz of Oregon, OH, Mary Jane Gorman of Defiance, OH, Lynette Bossert of Albuquerque, NM, Maureen (David) Kohn of Phoenix, AZ, and Anita (Alan) Bensman of Ottawa, OH; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sister Mary Singer, OP of Adrian, MI, Sheila (William) Horney of Columbia City, IN and Jane (James) Niday of Archbold, OH.

Mary Rose is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister: Robert, John and Regina Singer; and 2 sons-in-law: Dennis Gorman and Martin Rutz.

Mary Rose retired from Campbell Soup Co, Napoleon, OH. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, playing euchre and going to Bingo. Mary Rose was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and formerly a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bavaria.  Visitation will be from 9 – 10 a.m., Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
