Mary Frances Wagner

LEIPSIC – Mary Frances Wagner, 78 of Leipsic died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born February 7, 1942 in Piqua to the late William M. and Mary Ellen (Davis) Wagner.

She is survived by two brothers, William E. Wagner of Marysville and James M. (Carol) Wagner of Kalida; four nieces, Laura Peterson, Julia Berger, Gina Jerwers, and Jill Ricker; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Linda Wagner.

Mary was a retired first grade teacher at Glandorf. She was a 1960 graduate of Leipsic High School, received her Bachelor's Degree from Findlay and her Master's Degree from St. Francis in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and their Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Mary was also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, the Ohio Education Association, and National Education Association of retired teachers. She enjoyed genealogy, doing puzzles, and was an artist. She really enjoyed quilting. Mary especially loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Jim Morman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until mass time at the church. There will be a scripture service at 8:45 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to American Red Cross or to a charity of the donor's choice.
