Mary Theresa Warren
LEIPSIC – Mary Theresa Warren, 92, of Leipsic, passed away at 3:43 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026, at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 5, 1933, in Greensburg Township, Putnam County, Ohio to the late Albert and Catherine (Horstman) Verhoff. She married Alfred Schnipke, they divorced. She then married Elden Hazelton; he preceded her in death on October 9, 1983. She later married Donald Warren, who also preceded her in death on August 20, 1997.
She is survived by seven children: Bonnie (Vick) Turnwald of Ottoville, Janet (Gary) Niemeyer of Kalida, Steve (Cheryl) Schnipke of Cloverdale, Diane (Joe) Wueller of Kalida, Gary (Cyndi) Schnipke, Ted (Donna) Schnipke both of Cloverdale and Teresa (Kevin) Sorg of North Carolina; two stepsons: David Warren and Tom Hazelton; a stepdaughter, Connie Stauffer; 26 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bob Siefker; five brothers: Isidore (Mildred) Verhoff, Ray (Connie) Verhoff, Arnold (Mary) Verhoff, Ralph (Delores) Verhoff and Leonard (Delores) Verhoff.
Mary worked for Philips, Ottawa for 27 ½ years and part-time for Lock Sixteen Catering. She was a member of Philips Quarter Century Club, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Altar Rosary Society, Glandorf C.L. of C, Knights of Columbus 300 Club, Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary, Ohio Polka Boosters and Golden Steppers.
Mary enjoyed flowers, angels, bird watching, puzzles, crafting, painting by number, playing cards, going dancing and on bus trips to go gambling with her lady friends. She also enjoyed boating and jet ski riding at the lake with her family and watching the kids ski. She loved spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her pride and joy.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Steve Schroeder officiating. A private family burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Findlay. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday prior to the mass at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
