MaryAnn Lamb

Ottawa-MaryAnn Lamb, 80 of Ottawa, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Center in Findlay, Ohio.  MaryAnn was born in Morenci, Michigan on Feb. 6, 1936 to the late George and Louise (Grimm) Gardiner.  On July 10, 1954 she traveled to Camp Pendleton, California to marry her husband Ramon A. Lamb.  Ramon and MaryAnn enjoyed 59 years together before Ramon passed away on January 26th, 2013.

MaryAnn and her husband Ramon have three surviving children.  Valerie (Rick) Snead of Lyons, Ohio, Gregory Lamb of Waterville, Ohio and Laura (Dean) Masztak of Mattawan, MI.  There are eight grandchildren: Kristine (Jamie) Waltz, Brittany (Sam) Drake, Stephen Lamb, Sarah Lamb, Rachel Masztak, Benjamin Masztak, Nick Masztak and Jenny Masztak. They were also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Tenly and Tylan Waltz, and Leia Drake.

Surviving MaryAnn is a brother Douglas Gardiner (Candice) of Concord, MI.  Sister in law Alice (Bill) Gardiner of Lady Lake, FL, and a brother in law Jerry (Joyce) Belding of Lady Lake, FL.  MaryAnn was preceded in death by her brother Bill Gardiner and her sister Jill Belding.

MaryAnn worked for many years with her husband Ramon in the Nationwide Insurance Agency office in Ottawa, Ohio. After retirement, MaryAnn and Ray split time between Ottawa and Lady Lake, Florida. MaryAnn was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans, as well as the Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes. Along with her husband, she would also cheer on her favorite NASCAR driver.

MaryAnn was a talented candy maker; holidays were a very special time with her chocolate confections.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, flea markets, sewing, reading and most of all her family. First and foremost, MaryAnn was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered and greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held 12:45 p.m. on Friday, April 22nd, 2016 at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 137 N Pratt St. in Ottawa, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church, a luncheon reception will follow. Donations may be made in MaryAnn's memory to the Bridge Hospice Center in Findlay, Ohio or to the Putnam County Council on Aging, Ottawa, Ohio.
