Matthew J. Mullins

Ottawa - Matthew J. Mullins, 25, of Ottawa died 11:02 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born March 1, 1991 in Lima to Frank and Mary (Brinkman) Mullins who survives in Ottawa.  On October 3, 2015, he married Krista Korte who survives in Ottawa.

Matthew is survived by a sister: Betty Jo Mullins of Findlay; two brothers: Jack (Sarah) Mullins  and Steve (Kayla) Mullins both of Ottawa; mother-in-law: Cindy Lovell of Ottawa; father-in-law: Tim (Rhonda Relue) Korte of Glandorf; sister-in-law: Darsea (Tyler) Closson of Ottawa and a brother-in-law: Nathan Korte of Ottawa.

He worked at Steel Technologies in Ottawa.  He was a 2009 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa.  He served in the Army for five years, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant.  He also served overseas in Germany and Kuwait.  Matthew enjoyed fishing, playing video games and drawing.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with Deacon Doyle Erford officiating.  Visitation will  be Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home   Memorials may be made to his unborn child.
