Maureen "Jackie" Moran

CONTINENTAL - Maureen Jacquline "Jackie" (Nardone) Moran, 72, of Continental, passed away at 10:16 a.m. on February 8, 2024, at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 17, 1951, in Woburn Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Crosby) Nardone.  On February 20, 1971, she married Michael Moran, who survives in Continental.

Jackie is survived by two daughters: Heather (Jason) Spear of Continental and Angie (Gregg) Bowersox of Oakwood; one son: Ben (Darla) Moran of Continental; and eighteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren with three more on the way.

Jackie is also survived by siblings: Linda (Rich) Cupp of Bryan, OH, Donna (John) Ouellette of Mason, New Hampshire, Debby Nardone of Bartlett, New Hampshire, Cheryl (Tim) Brusso of Raymond, New Hampshire, and Kim (Steve) Mattil of Concord, New Hampshire.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Nardone; two sisters, Gail Palumbo and Janie Tholander; and three nephews.

Jackie had a passion for animals and owned many different animals throughout the years - most memorable being a Pig, named Betsy, a parrot, named Skittles, ferrets, fish, rabbits, a raccoon and many cats and dogs - though, she had a special love for Cocker Spaniels. Jackie had many hobbies over the years and was an avid walker and biker in her early years.

Jackie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and made yearly trips out East to see her family (always letting a few grandchildren tag along.) Jackie also enjoyed doing puzzles, baking, and playing music.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice for the great and compassionate care that Jackie received - and a special thank you to Kelby and Kathy.

Funeral Service will begin 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Jim Hiltner officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Because of Jackie's love for dogs, memorial donations may be made to JAR animal rescue in Grover Hill or the Continental Volunteer Fire Department.
