Melvin "Mel" Dean Heuerman

Melvin "Mel" Dean Heuerman, 57, lost his battle of throat cancer on July15, 2019 at 10:55 a.m. under the care of his wife, Karen Heuerman and Allen County Hospice.

Mel was born January 17, 1962 to the late Virgil "Bub" and Patricia (Roof) Heuerman.

Survivors include his wife, Karen (Brecht) Heuerman; 2 sons, Joseph (Kathryn) Heuerman of Findlay and Benjamin (Dania) Heuerman of Delta; a step daughter, April (Wilfredo) Velasquez of Continental; 4 brothers, Thomas "Buck" (Mary Christine)  Heuerman of Findlay, Gerald (Sandra) Heuerman of Miller City, Eugene (Terry Ann) Heuerman of Cloverdale, Jim (Michelle) Heuerman of Miller City; 2 sisters, Jane (Jerry) Niese of Miller City and Joan (Rick) Romer of Glandorf; 4 grandchildren, Maria, Adrianna, Geovani, and Alexandra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Lou Heuerman, and a brother, Michael Lee Heuerman

Mel enjoyed working at Ultimate RB of Delphos for 13 years. In his free time Mel enjoyed camping, dirt track racing, and NASCAR, but especially spending time with his family.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where online condolences can be expressed at: www.lovefuneralhome.com.
