Michael Lee Cline
OAKWOOD – Michael Lee "Mike" Cline, 62, of Oakwood, formerly of Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord at 1:00 a.m. September 20, 2012 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. Mike was born October 31, 1949 in Portsmouth to the late Hearst S. Cline and Trilby (Morgan) Cline. His brother, Joseph Anthony Cline also preceded him in death.
He was survived by five sisters: Betty Jo Payne of Oakwood, whom he lived with, Antha (Wade) Deming of Oakwood, Diane (Russ) Tackett of Beaver, Nancy (Gene) Gerschutz of Oakwood, and Mary (Gerald) Friesner of Oakwood; two brothers: Hershel (Christy) Cline of Portsmouth and David (Tracy) Cline of Leesburg; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Mike was a carpenter and an avid lover of the outdoor scene. He enjoyed hunting for the biggest buck, and loved fishing. He always asserted his opinion and stated what was on his mind, but at the same time, always willing to give of his time, be there for anyone and volunteer wherever help was needed. Mike will be sadly missed by all his family.
A Funeral Service will be held at11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood with his nephew, Rev. David A. Tackett from End Times Harvest Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
Memorials may be given to help with the funeral expenses or to a charity of the donor's choice.
