Michael K. Martin
CLOVERDALE - Michael K. Martin, 56, of Cloverdale, died at 1:34 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born January 1, 1959 in Lima to Robert G. and Jeanie M. (Krieger) Martin. His mom is deceased, his father and step mother, Ruth Martin survive in Cloverdale.
Also surviving are 5 children: Chad Martin of Cloverdale, Jessica (Jason) Simmons of Florida, Kalena (Kirby) Vaughn of North Carolina, Jennifer (Justin) Billet of Springfield, and Christina Martin of Cloverdale; a brother: Luther Shrader of Cloverdale; a sister: Elaine Elliott of Greenville, NC; and 6 grandchildren.
Michael was retired from Philips, formerly of Ottawa. He was a member of the Delphos Eagles and was an avid sprint car racing fan, especially car #17. He enjoyed fishing and was a huge Ohio State Buckeye Fan. Michael loved his grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME Continental with Rev. Doug Price officiating. Burial will follow in Cascade Cemetery, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
