Michael R. McCoy

CLOVERDALE – Michael R. McCoy, 75, of Cloverdale died at 1:28 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his residence.  He was born September 30, 1946 in Van Wert to the late Robert E. and Avis E. (Reichard) McCoy.  On July 22, 1978 he married Mary Ann Sharp, she survives in Cloverdale.

Mike is also survived by a son: Aaron McCoy of Cloverdale; a daughter: Adrienne (Nick Miller) Spencer of Columbus Grove; a granddaughter: Mariska Spencer; a grandson: Drazen Miller; three brothers: Randy McCoy, Gary McCoy, and Pat McCoy; and two sisters: Marcia Alt and Sandy Foust.

He is preceded in death by a son: Brian McCoy; and an infant daughter.

Mike retired from Federal Mogul, Van Wert, after 43 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Mike loved to spend time with his grandchildren.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.  He also enjoyed playing table tennis.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery, Monterey Township, Cloverdale. A Celebration of Life will follow at Mandale Church of Christ in Christian Union.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
