Michael W. Merritt

NORTH CREEK – Michael W. Merritt, 68, of North Creek passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at his residence.  He was born February 13, 1954 in Defiance to the late Auburn and Carlita (Perry) Merritt.  On December 29, 1984, he married Kathleen Lawman, she survives in North Creek.

Michael is also survived by a son: Brian Merritt of Dayton; and a sister: Diane (Bruce) Dukes of Continental

He is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Diemer.

Michael worked as a millwright welder at General Motors, where he retired in 2021.  He was a member of the UAW Local 211.  Michael was HAM Operator:  N8WBC.  He was the Past Master of the Continental Masonic Lodge.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at UAW Local 211 Memorial Hall, Defiance.
