Michael J. Warnecke

CLOVERDALE – Michael J. Warnecke, 53, of Cloverdale passed away at 8:42 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center, Glandorf.  He was born September 27, 1970, in Toledo to the late Wilfred and Margaret (Niese) Warnecke.  On November 18, 1995, he married Carol (Sheaks) Burgei, who survives in Cloverdale.

Mike is also survived by a sister: Patricia Langhals of Columbus Grove; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cyra Elizabeth, and a brother-in-law, Darrin Langhals.

Mike was an Army veteran, where he served in field artillery unit in Desert Storm.  He enjoyed music and co-owned Blacky & Buffy's DJ service, along with his wife.  Mike was an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on the Buckeyes.  He also loved to play cornhole.  Mike was very good-hearted and was a friend to many.

Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Very Reverend George Mahas officiating. Military Rites will be held immediately after mass by Continental American Legion Post #541.  Burial will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
