Mildred "Eileen" Combs

OTTAWA – Mildred E. Combs, 79, of Ottawa, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born February 28, 1944, in Monroe County, Ohio to the late Harold and Mary (Lontz) Stanton.

She is survived by 3 children: Elizabeth (James) Higley of Leipsic, Glenda Marciano of Auburndale, FL, and Richard (Brenda) Combs of Osseo, MI, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; a son-in-law: Vincent Mansfield of Napoleon.

She is preceded in death by a daughter: Elaine Mansfield and her brother, Kenny Stanton.

Eileen was a homemaker and had previously worked at Libby's in Napoleon and  Philips, Ottawa.  She loved baking, family events and watching her grandchildren participate in the sporting events.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, OAKWOOD. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
