Mildred M. Kohls

LEIPSIC - Mildred M. Kohls, 100, of Leipsic died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Putnam County Ambulatory Health Care, Glandorf. She was born March 13, 1917 in Leipsic to the late Joseph J. and Rose Agnes (Schroeder) Haselman. On August 24, 1949 she married Leonard Kohls who died March 6, 1996.

She is survived by a son, Don Kohls of Leipsic; a brother, Richard (Edna) Haselman of Leipsic; a sister, Helen (Robert) Collins of Deshler; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas (Arlene) Haselman and Ralph (Bernadine) Haselman and three sisters, Jeannette (Rudy) Selhorst, Beatrice (Robert) Kleman, and Mary Ann (Leo) Kaufman.

Mildred went to school in a horse and buggy, was a homemaker, and had been bookkeeper for Kohls Construction. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, it's Rosary Altar Society, and the Leipsic American Legion Auxiliary. Mildred enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, playing cards, especially euchre and solo, and was an avid polka booster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the mass on Monday at the church. There will be a rosary service at the funeral home on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
