Mildred M. Rayman

OTTOVILLE - Mildred M. Rayman, 92, of Ottoville died at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born May 14, 1923 in Landeck to the late Henry and Adeline (Bonifas) Pothast. On October 1, 1949 she married Paul J. Rayman who died August 30, 1995.

She is survived by a son: Steve (Dorothy) Rayman of Cloverdale and three grandchildren: Glen (Jess) Rayman of Ottoville, Garrett (Ali) Rayman of Kalida, and Gayle Rayman of Cloverdale. Also preceding her in death were four brothers: Firmin, Leo, Arnold, and Luke Pothast and four sisters: Sr. Mary Emma Pothast, Evelyn Dietrick, Ellen Mittlekamp, and Esther Niedecker.

Mildred was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and was a member and past president of the Rosary Altar Society and the Ottoville Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council #30.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
