Ninfa Nunez

LEIPSIC – Ninfa Nunez, 85, of Leipsic, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born July 11, 1938, in Mexico to the late Vicente and Enedina (Perez) Guererro.  She married Ramundo L. Nunez, who preceded her in death on September 22, 2009.

Survivors include nine children: Mary Shope of Columbus, Joe (Anita) Cuevas of McCallen, TX, Delia Tracy of Defiance, Tony Cuevas of Napoleon, Dan (Kristina) Cuevas of Bluffton, Betty (Jose) Navarro of Leipsic, Jerry Cuevas of Belmore, Amy (Juan) Alaniz of Columbus and Ray Nunez of Leipsic; an abundant amount of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sibling, Socorro Meza of Florida.

She was also preceded in death by two siblings: Oralia Benitez and Vicente Guererro, Jr.

Ninfa retired from Hearthside Solutions, McComb after many years. Her passion was her family.  She loved cooking, playing bingo, crafting and participating in activities at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and 9 – 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.  A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
