Norma Jean Meyer
Leipsic - Norma Jean Meyer, 79, of Leipsic died 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at her residence.  She was born January 6, 1936 in Putnam County, Ohio to the late Cyril and Mary (Gerten) Barlage.   On April 27, 1957, she married James "Jim" Meyer who survives in Leipsic.
Norma is also survived by their children: Tom (Ann) Meyer of Leipsic, Kay (Ken) Koch of Columbus Grove, Kris (Greg) Verhoff of Glandorf, Kim (Brent) Schroeder of Ottawa, Tim (Melanie) Meyer of Highland, MI; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.  She is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law: Patricia "Pat" and Norm Kaufman.
Norma Jean retired from Fawcett Lammon Recker Insurance.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, its Altar Rosary Society, and  Catholic Ladies of Columbia and served as Eucharistic Minister.   She volunteered at St. Rita's Medical Center for many years. Norma Jean enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, with The Very Reverend George Wenzinger officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday,  and 9 a.m. until the  time of service on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.  A rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
