Norman G. "Jerry" Eversole

OTTOVILLE – Norman G. "Jerry" Eversole, 87, of Ottoville died 2:55 a.m., Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born December 9, 1934 in Glandorf to the late Kenneth B. and Alma M. (Ellerbrock) Eversole.  On June 7, 1958 he married Mary Ellen Limpach and she survives in Ottoville.

Other survivors include four children: Richard (Vivian) Eversole of Mountain Ridge, CA, Andrew (Patricia) Eversole of St. Charles, MO, John Eversole of Ottoville and Anne (Kenneth) Hemker of Ft. Jennings; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Robert (Judith) Eversole of Columbus Grove; and two sisters: Shirley Like of Swanton and Judith Blankemeyer of Columbus Grove.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson; and two brothers-in-law: William Like and Joseph Blankemeyer.

Norman retired as an electronics technician for Westinghouse, formerly of Lima where he served as a former union president.  He was a US Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.  Norman was a graduate of Brunnerdale Seminary, Canton.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its choir; as well as a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church Men's Choir, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Columbus Grove American Legion, and former Fort Jennings school board member.  He enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, reading and playing cards.

Memorial mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. Jerome Schetter officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday as well as one hour prior to mass Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp.  A K of C rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
