Norman G. Kahle
Kalida -- Norman G. Kahle 75, of Kalida died 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 22, 1940 in Lima to the late Cyrillus and Frances (Ricker) Kahle. On August 20, 1960 he married Lou Ellen Breece who survives in Kalida.
He is also survived by five children: Lisa (Salomon) Campos of Defiance, Julie Edwards, Randy (Michelle) Kahle, Gary (Jennifer) Kahle, and Nancy (Phil) Maag all of Kalida; two brothers: Carl (Joyce) Kahle and Ron (Irma) Kahle both of Kalida; fifteen grandchildren: Calvin Campos, Tia Campos, Nathan Edwards, Samantha Edwards, Riley Edwards, Rachel (Tom) Schroeder, Brandon Kahle, Peyton Wilson, Keegan Wilson, Justin Kahle, Jeremy Kahle, Brittany Kahle, Andrew Maag, Trevor Maag, and McKayla Maag. He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Kahle.
Norm was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Holy Name. He was the owner of Kahle Supply and Feed Mill in Kalida and has worked there for 57 years. He was a member of the Kalida Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years and the EMS for 16 years. He was a director for the Fort Jennings State Bank from 1994 to present. Norm was also a member of the Kalida Fish and Game, Ottawa Eagles, a social member of the Ottawa Legion, and a member of the Indian Lake Moose.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with a Firemen Service at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and a Scripture service 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
