Patricia A. Alvarez
OTTAWA – Patricia A. Alvarez, 40, of Ottawa, died at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born February 17, 1972 in Bluffton to Alvino and Ofelia (Rodriguez) Alvarez.  Her father is deceased. Her mother survives in Ottawa.  Also surviving are 2 children: Sarena N. Alvarez, Jeffery L. Brown II both of Ottawa; 2 stepchildren: Ja'kel Brown and Jasmine Brown, both of Ottawa; a brother: Gilbert Alvarez of Ottawa; a cousin Laura Rodney of Ottawa; 2 second-cousins:
Wyatt Rodriguez and Tré Rodney; 1 nephew; 2 nieces; a great-nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Jane Gracia.
Patricia was a cashier at Speedway in Lima.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Guadalupe Society in Decatur, Indiana.  She was a 1990 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and a graduate of Brown-Mackie College in Findlay, with a Health Care Administration Degree.  She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy Fan, and a loving, outgoing person who was always willing to help others.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Alfons Minja officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
