Patricia L. Nienberg

Ottawa -- Patricia L. Nienberg, 82 of Ottawa died 7:45 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Ottawa.  She was born February 19, 1935 in Columbus Grove to the late Arthur and Mary (Unterbrink) Downey.  On October 10, 1953 she married Daniel Joseph Nienberg, who preceded her in death on February 23, 2006.

Patricia is survived by 5 children:  Barry (Kay) Nienberg of Beverly Hills, MI, Ken (Dawn) Nienberg of Belle Center, Deb (Paul) Nienberg of Louisville, KY, Donna (Lee) Reinstedler of Ottawa and Barb (Dean) Scheckelhoff of Perrysburg; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law:  Betty Nienberg.

Patricia was a homemaker and a life-long member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  She was an active member of the Ottawa Senior Center, the Putnam County YMCA and had many dear friends with which to share a glass of wine.  She volunteered her time at numerous charitable events and organizations in the area like the Thrift Store and the Food Pantry.

She loved sitting in her backyard among the flowers and bushes watching the birds and animals she fed daily.  Patricia was an avid fan of all the Cleveland sports teams, especially the Indians.

Patricia was the cornerstone of our family and she will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be  10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m.
