Patricia A. Schmitz GLANDORF - Patricia A. Schmitz, 96, of Glandorf, passed away at 7:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024, in The Meadows of Ottawa surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 15, 1928, in Ft. Jennings to the late Arnold and Verna (Schuerman) Minning. On May 5, 1950, she married Raymond J. Schmitz, who preceded her in death on December 10, 2003. She is survived by six children: Barbara (Chandra) Shaker of Bluffton, SC, Connie (Mike) Sunderhaus of Ottawa, Jane (Doug) Rice of Findlay, Jim (Deb) Schmitz of Glandorf, Sue (Dave) Morman of Ottawa and Kaye Bradley of Delphos; son-in-law, Eugene Foppe of Kalida; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Joan Minning of Landeck. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Foppe; son-in-law, Lindsey Bradley; and five siblings: Tom Minning, Lou Minning, Dorothy (Paul) Warnecke, Mary (Henry) Siebeneck and Rita Minning. Patricia was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, its Altar Rosary Society, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her friends and family. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the Mass at the church.
