GLANDORF – Patricia A. Heuerman, 92, of Glandorf, died 3:15 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Putnam Heritage in Ottawa. She was born, August 9, 1925 in Glandorf to the late Edward and Lucille (Meyerhoffer) Roof. On June 12, 1948, she married Virgil C. "Bub" Heuerman. He died June 20, 2012.
Survivors include seven children: Thomas "Buck" (Mary Kristine) Heuerman of Findlay, Gerald (Sandra) Heuerman of Miller City, Eugene (Terry Ann) Heuerman of Cloverdale, Jim (Michelle) Heuerman of Miller City, Melvin (Karen Brecht) Heuerman of Continental, Jane (Jerry) Niese of Miller City and Joan (Rick) Romer of Glandorf; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Heuerman; a son, Michael Lee Heuerman; four sisters: Bernadette Bensman, Alberta Roof, Rosemary Crow and Mary Croy and a brother, Edwin Roof.
Pat was a homemaker and a bartender for H & R Carryout. She was a 1943 graduate and Valedictorian of Glandorf High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Rosary Altar and Catholic Ladies of Columbia, the Glandorf Fire Ladies, Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary, Ottawa American Legion Auxiliary and Ottawa VFW Auxiliary. Pat enjoyed gambling, garage saling and bowling with the Alley Twisters for the Tin Lizzy. She loved watching her grandson race his sprint car and the OSU Buckeyes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. There will be a Glandorf Fire Ladies service at 6:30 p.m., VFW Auxiliary service at 7:00 p.m. and CL of C and Parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. all Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Putnam County Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
