Patricia A. Martin
OTTOVILLE – Patricia A. Martin, 89, of Ottoville, passed away at 7:47 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born November 2, 1932 in Landeck to the late George and Emma (Ricker) Schnipke. On July 7, 1951, she married James H. Martin, he preceded her in death on January 28, 2019.
Patty is survived by two children: Dana (Virginia) Martin and Linda (Tim) Kaufman, both of Ottoville; a son-in-law: Daniel Metcalfe of Indianapolis, IN.; eight grandchildren: Michelle (Todd) Hanneman, Charles Martin, Jason (Anita Hepditch) Metcalfe, Beverly (Alaric) Falcon, Emily (Cody) Risner, Erika (Adam) Norbeck, Natasha (Tim) Kramer, Tonya (Del Marous) Kaufman; nineteen great-grandchildren: Brynlee Hanneman, Cooper Hanneman, Cody (Kristen) Wyvern, Colton Martin, Camille Martin, Kellan Hepditch, Molly Hepditch, Sonia Metcalfe, Josie Metcalfe, Kendall Norbeck, Joanna Norbeck, Jay Norbeck, Kira Norbeck, Braxton Risner, Corbin Risner, Xander Falcon, Hazel Falcon, Archer Falcon, and Hayden Kramer; a sister-in-law: Mary Schnipke of Delphos; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bob and Dolly Martin of Landeck.
She is also preceded in death by two daughters: Kathleen Metcalfe and Sandra Martin; a grandson: James Metcalfe; two brothers: Leonard (Pauline) Schnipke and Kenneth Schnipke.
Patty retired from Aeroquip, Van Wert. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Patricia loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the lake.
Funeral Mass will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. George Mahas and Fr. Kent Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
