Patricia A. Schroeder
Leipsic -- Patricia A. Schroeder, 89, of Leipsic died 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 9, 1925 in Columbus Grove to the late Clement and Martha (Utendorf) Stechschulte. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, George L. Hoffman. On October 30, 1945 she married Elmer Schroeder, who died August 14, 2004.
She is survived by her children: Dean R. Schroeder of Leipsic, Joe (Joan) Schroeder of Perrysburg, Ann M. (James) Russell of Leipsic, Gary P. Schroeder of Hoffman Estates, IL, Amy E. (Robert Jr.) Pettaway of Toledo and Philip J. (Jeannie Miller) Schroeder of Lexington, VA; 6 grandchildren: Sherri (Brad) Longberry, Brandi Schroeder, Nicole (Scott) Hammell, Brent Jabbour, Brooke Hubley and Danielle Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Jane Leopold of Ottawa and Kathie (Elmer) Langhals of Columbus Grove; a brother: Ken (Cheryl) Hoffman of Deshler; a sister-in-law: Margie Hoffman of Ottawa and many nephews and nieces.
Preceding her in death is a sister, Audrey Fox; a brother, George B. Hoffman; 2 brothers-in-law: Tom Leopold and Bill Fox, and a daughter-in-law: Patricia Barnett.
Patricia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and its Altar Rosary Society. She had been a bookkeeper of Scarbrough Pharmacy, Leipsic for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress. Patricia was happiest when she was cooking and baking in her kitchen and she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the holiday gathering.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Father George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
