Patricia C. Brickner

OTTAWA – Patricia C. Brickner, 87, of Ottawa, passed away at 11:03 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at her residence.  She was born April 28, 1936, in Napoleon to the late Joseph and Mary (Desgranges) Thome.  On April 14, 1956, she married Louis "Louie" Brickner, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1998.

Survivors include six children: Katherine M. Wire of Columbus, Theresa A. (Robert) Korte of Ottawa, Nancy S. (Bradd) Miller of Cloverdale, Cynthia M. Brickner of Columbus, Paula J. (Darryl) Siebeneck of Ottawa and Brian E. (Susan) Brickner of Beavercreek; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Frank (Marilyn) Thome of Pleasant Bend, Barbara Perry of Columbus Grove and Connie (Bob) Holmes of Reno, NV; and a sister-in-law, Carol Thome of New Bavaria.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Phillip J. Brickner; a grandson, Jordan Schimmoeller; a brother, Joseph Thome; and two brothers-in-law, Stephen Shaffer and John Perry.

Patricia retired from Philips/Sylvania, Ottawa. She was an Ottawa Fire Lady; enjoyed sewing and quilting; traveling and going to casinos; and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Ottawa Ladies Bowling League.

Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. The Ottawa Fire Ladies Service will begin at 7 p.m. and a rosary service will begin at 7:50 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
