Patricia A. Decker

OTTAWA -  Patricia A. Decker, 83, of Ottawa, died at 3:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born July 11, 1939 in Ottawa to the late Arthur and Goldie (Felkey) Vogt. On February 16, 1957, she married John R. Decker. He died on May 16, 1998.

Survivors include six children: Cindy (Dean) Maag, Vicki (Craig) Hiegel, both of Ottawa, Bonnie (Tom) Brown, Connie (Mark Heppeard) Tagliapietra, both of Findlay, Brenda (Ron) Kuhlman and John Decker, both of Ottawa; 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and a sister, Betsy Utz of Ottawa.

She was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Mallori Maag; three brothers: Oscar (Virginia) Vogt, Carl (Edith) Vogt, Walter (Lorna) Vogt; a sister, Donna Vogt; and a brother-in-law, James Utz.

Patricia was a homemaker.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing bingo, crocheting and drinking root beer at happy hour.  Patricia loved spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Service will begin 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Marcella Ciccotelli officiating. Burial will follow in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa.  Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Sunday and 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. on Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
