Paul H. Borgelt

KALIDA - Paul H. Borgelt, 82, of Kalida died 9:30 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at The Meadows of Kalida.  He was born September 9, 1935 in Cuba, Ohio the late Edward and Frances (Kahle) Borgelt.  His step-mother, Della Borgelt is also deceased.  On July 15, 1961 he married Jeanette Niese.  She died July 24, 2012.

Survivors include five children: Duane Borgelt of Lima, Fr. Daniel Borgelt of Edgerton, Sharolyn (Phil) Conrad of Seymour, TN, Keith (Arlondria) Borgelt of Valparaiso, IN and Bernice (Andrew) Lawrence of Lima; five grandchildren; and two siblings: Mary Ann Hoersten of Kalida and Herman (Rita) Borgelt of Cuba.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Ann Borgelt.

Paul was a life long farmer and carpenter.  He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and Kalida Knights of Columbus.  Paul was a US Army veteran.  He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who dearly loved his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Daniel Borgelt and Fr. Mark Hoying officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to Catholic Radio.
