Paul B. "Smiley" Schulte

GLANDORF – Paul B. "Smiley" Schulte, 78, of Glandorf, passed away at 10:13 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 28, 1944 in Kalida to the late Frank and Freda (Edelbrock) Schulte.  On November 14, 1970, he married Linda M. Kahle, she survives in Glandorf.

Smiley is also survived by four children:  Paula (Chuck) Madison of Reynoldsburg, Andy (Becky) Schulte of Ft. Jennings, Jeff (Megan) Schulte of Glandorf, and Lisa (Tom) Mount of Middle Point; eight grandchildren: Dylan, Connor (Maddie), Landyn, Ayvrie, Josie, Fallon (Tyler), Devin, Brady (Miranda); and four brothers:  Jim (Darlene) Schulte of Delphos, Dave (Carol) Schulte of Van Wert, Mike Schulte of Ottawa, and Jerry (Helen) Schulte of Kalida.

He is preceded in death by two brothers: Verne (Carlene) Schulte and Bob (Grace) Schulte; a sister: Joann (Tom) Hermiller; and a sister-in-law: Linda Schulte.

Smiley was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Men's Society. He was a retired truck driver for Kahle Supply and Feed Mill, Kalida.  He was also a member of the Ottawa Eagles, International Tractor Club, and Red Power, both Ohio and National.  Smiley loved and collected International tractors and machinery.  He also loved spending time with his grandkids and family, he especially loved taking them to ice cream stores.  Smiley knew everyone, and everyone knew Smiley.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller and Fr. Jason Kahle officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township and again on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m.
