Paul Joseph Weis

WAPAK - God took Paul Joseph Weis, 52, of Wapak home at 2:25 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born November 10, 1966 in Lima to Eugene and Helen (Wannemacher) Weis. His father is deceased, his mother survives in Columbus Grove.

He is also survived by a brother, Alex Weis of Columbus Grove; two sisters, Brenda (Bill) Miller and Tammy (Mike) Diller both of Lima; and nephews and niece, Austin Miller, Cody Miller, Madison Diller, Aiden Diller; and his special friend: Melissa Folden.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Clarence and Monica (Buss) Weis, and maternal grandparents: Oscar and Rita (Burgei) Wannemacher.

Paul was a former employee of Walmart of Ottawa. He was the  happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed taking drives, watching trains, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Dallas Cowboys. Snoopy has been his companion in life since a young age of three when he was diagnosed with Wilme's tumor. Paul was a "fighter" who fought a long battle. He enjoyed having visitors at the hospital and at The Meadows holding everyone's hands tightly. He recently celebrated his birthday with a much desired pumpkin pie.

Paul will live in our memories and stories and will be sadly missed. Our love for you becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. You will always be near and in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Deacon Jim Rump officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
