Phillip A. Higley

BOWLING GREEN, FORMERLY of OTTAWA – Phillip A. Higley, 66 of Bowling Green, formerly of Ottawa died 4:20 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Bowling Green Manor, Bowling Green.  He was born July 1, 1955 in Bluffton to the late Serge and Mabel (Mardis) Higley.  On April 28, 1979, he married Bonnie Jean Welsh.  She passed away May 12, 2021.

Survivors include a brother, Leroy (Patricia) Higley of Weston; a sister, Susan Wueller of Auburn, IN; three nephews; and one niece.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Steve Higley; a brother-in-law, Henry Wueller; and a nephew.

Phil had worked for Brookhill and Weatherseal, both of Ottawa.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was proud to serve. He was a lover of classic mustang cars and a member of the Mustang Club of Ohio and 4 Deuces Car Club.  He was an amateur weather enthusiast and enjoyed all things related to weather watching.

Funeral service will begin 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Dennis Coates officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by Leipsic VFW, Amvets and DAV.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
