Ralph Edward Duling

OTTAWA -- Ralph Edward Duling, 81 of Ottawa died 1: 19 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his residence.  He was born December 9, 1935 in Leipsic to the late Frank and Anna (Palte) Duling.  On February 16, 1955 he married Dorothy Karhoff, who survives.

Ralph is survived by his 8 children:  Cathy Ashbaugh of Van Wert, Deb Yant of Ottawa, Steve Duling of Ottawa, Susan (Doug) Siefker of Glandorf, Jeff Duling of Corpus Christi, TX,  Jim (Connie) Duling of Vaughnsville, Mark Duling of Ottawa and Tony Duling of Ottawa; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother:  Alvin (Shirley) Duling of Ottawa; an a sister-in-law:  Dorothy Duling of Ottawa.

He is preceded in death by his step-father:  Ray Maag; 2 sisters:  Zita Ruhe and Angie Duling; brother: Leander Duling; and a brother-in-law:  Victor Ruhe.

Ralph was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.  He retired after 42 years from Phillips, Ottawa.  He was a life member of both Leipsic Fish and Game and Ottawa Eagles.  Ralph loved to play cards, go fishing, enjoyed bowling and hated to miss Jeopardy.

A Memorial Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m.
