Ralph F. Honigfort
Kalida - Ralph F. Honigfort, 82, of Ft. Jennings, died 11:20 a.m., Thursday, December 25, 2014 at The Meadows of Kalida.  He was born September 6, 1932 in Lima to the late Oliver and Clara (Knueven) Honigfort.  On August 11, 1956, he married Clara Sawmiller who survives in Kalida.
Ralph is survived by their children: Patricia Gray of Kalida, Carl (Michele) Honigfort of Kalida, Mark (Betty) Honigfort of Ottawa, Judy Honigfort of Kalida, Daniel (Linda) Honigfort of Kalida, Jon Honigfort of Kalida; 6 grandchildren: Sara Gray, Mike Gray, Jen Shiferaw, Kristi and Erica Honigfort and Kyle Honigfort; 4 great-grandchildren: Kyona Gray, Kadon Gray, Jackson Wynne Gray, and Isaac Shiferaw; 2 sisters: Leona (Bill) Fee of Lima and Alma Schimmoeller of Ottawa.  He is preceded  in death by a son: Bruce Honigfort; a great-granddaughter: Jazzlynn Gray; and a brother-in-law: Tom Schimmoeller.
Ralph retired after working 35 years at Louisiana Pacific in Ottawa. He spent 9 years of his retirement working at Wal-Mart, volunteering at St. Rita's and was a farmer.  He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, Kalida Holy Name, and was a 3rd Degree of the Kalida Knights of Columbus.  He loved following all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their activities, and he was avid Kalida Sport Fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church,  Kalida, with Fr. Mark Hoying and Fr. Elmer Wurth officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.  Visitation will be from  6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp.  where a K of C Rosary will be Monday at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
