Ralph A. Kaufman

Glandorf – Ralph A. Kaufman, 84, of Glandorf died 7:52 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born October 14, 1933 in Miller City to the late Vincent and Lucy (Frank) Kaufman. On November 27, 1958 he married Carol Mae Heckman who preceded him in death on March 1, 1997.

Ralph is survived by his 2 sons: Alan (Melinda) Kaufman of Glandorf and Brian (Kris) Kaufman of Ottawa; 2 daughters: Annette Kaufman of Ottawa and Bonnie (John) Ruth of Grove City; 2 brothers: John Kaufman of Ottawa and Tom (Carol) Kaufman of Glandorf; 4 sisters: Irene Morman of Ottawa, Rosemary (Tom) Wolke of Glandorf, Phyllis (Bob) Frey of Ottawa and Joyce Yant of Ottawa; 8 grandchildren: Dana (Ben Keckler) Kaufman, Kelly (Jay) Laubenthal, Matthew and Erin Kaufman, Lauren, Leah, Jenna and Luke Ruth; and 1 great grandson: Asher Laubenthal; 2 sisters-in-law: Irene Kaufman and Lenore Kaufman. He is also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Richard (Kathleen), Virgil and Harold Kaufman; and 2 brothers-in-law: Paul Morman and Ron Yant.

Ralph was a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf, was a member of the Glandorf Fire Dept, Ottawa K of C, Eagles, VFW, the American Legion, Ottawa Glandorf Athletic Boosters and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW post # 9142 and American Legion Post #63. Visitation will be Friday, 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and a Glandorf Fire Dept service at 7:00 p.m.
