Ramon A. Lamb
Lady Lake, FL – Ramon A. Lamb, 78, Local businessman and Ottawa community member passed away early Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Lady Lake, FL. Ray as he was known to family and friends was born March 2, 1934 in Lyons, OH to the late Kenneth and Margurite (Wiley) Lamb. On July 10. 1954 he married Maryann Gardiner, who survives.
After graduating from Lyons High School in 1952, Ray served in the US Marine Corp, stationed in Camp Pendleton in California. Ray was a valued member of the Ottawa Business community, serving as manager of the Production Credit Association in Ottawa, and later as an agent for Nationwide Insurance. He was an avid sportsman and hunter. After retirement, Ray and Maryann split their time between Ottawa and Florida.
Left to celebrate his legacy is Maryann, his wife of 58 years; their children: Valerie (Rick) Snead of Lyons, Gregory Lamb of Waterville, and Laura (Dean) Masztak of Mattawan, MI; 8 grandchildren: Kristine (Jamie) Waltz, Brittany Snead, Stephen Lamb, Sarah Lamb, Rachel Masztak, Benjamin Masztak, Nick Masztak, and Jenny Masztak; 2 great-grandchildren: Tenly and Tylan Waltz; and his brother, Fred (Charlotte)Lamb of Venice Beach, FL.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, and a luncheon reception will follow the service. There will be a private graveside service.
