Randy J. "Radar" Stone

CONTINENTAL – Randy J. "Radar" Stone, 55, of Continental, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his residence. He was born December 5, 1968, in Lima to Sam and Vina (Gibson) Stone.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Continental. On March 17, 2012, he married Tonya Tice, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include four sisters: Teresa (Dana) Matthews of Paulding, Lisa (Jeff) Gyetvai, Peggy Matthews and Pamela (Ron) Laney, all of Continental; four stepdaughters: Brianna (Dustin) Husted of Solon, Allanna (Eric) Durre, Heather Murphy, and the "Wild Child" Bridget Sowell, all of Van Wert; six step-grandchildren; half-brother, Ricky Stone of MI; half-sister, Sandra Stone of GA; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lee Matthews and half-sister, Connie Reynolds.

Randy had worked at SOCAR in Continental. He enjoyed garage sales, kayaking, auctions and gardening.

Funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with George Gyetvai officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dupont. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
