Randy L. Schaffer

Cloverdale - Randy L. Schaffer, 46, of Cloverdale died 4:33 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Van Wert County Hospital.  He was born March 25, 1970 in Van Wert to Ronald and Shirley (Jewell) Schaffer.  His mother survives in Cloverdale and father is deceased.

On June 6, 1995, he married Stephanie Tucker who survives in Cloverdale.

Randy is also survived by two daughters: Briana Schaffer of Van Wert; Haley Schaffer of Cloverdale and a brother: Ronnie (Genia) Schaffer of Monroe, North Carolina.  He is also preceded in death by his father and a sister, Beverly Glander.

Randy was a mechanic.  He loved driving truck and working in his garage.   He never quit, as he was very persistent.

A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Auglaize Chapel Church of God, Oakwood, with Pastor Patrick Holt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Auglaize Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood.   Visitation will be Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME,  Oakwood and  one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
