Rebecca M. Murphy

FORT JENNINGS – Rebecca M. Murphy, 74, of Ft. Jennings, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at her residence.  She was born on January 1, 1948, to the late Alfonso and Felicidad (Lopez) Masiglat in Manila, Philippines. On February 17, 1990, she married Terrence Murphy; he preceded her in death in 2002.

Rebecca is survived by a son:  Gary (Mady) Masiglat of Honolulu, Hawaii, and a daughter:  Joahanna Sheeter of Elkhart, Indiana; and three grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Benjamin Sheeter.

Rebecca retired from Schnipke Engraving, Ottoville.  She loved to crochet, bake, and travel.  Rebecca was a member of the Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary.  She also attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings.

Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township with Deacon Larry Schimmoeller officiating.  Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.    A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
