Rena Kruse
NEW CLEVELAND - Rena Kruse, 85 of New Cleveland, died at 2:43 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born May 1, 1928 in Miller City to the late Raymond and Anna (Scheeley) McDonald. On May 17, 1947 she married John B. Kruse who died December 11, 1989.
She is survived by 3 children: Natalie (Charles) Schroeder of New Cleveland, Lynnette (Darrell) Bradley of Leipsic, and Alan (Michelle) Kruse of New Cleveland; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Eloise Wessell of Ottawa. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Raymond and Richard McDonald and a sister: Viola Behrns.
Rena was a waitress at the Glandorf Inn. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of Miller City Sportsman Club, Ottawa's VFW Auxiliary, and the Ottawa American Legion Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with Fr. Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where on Sunday a Rosary service will be held at 2 p.m., a VFW Auxiliary service at 7 p.m., and an American Legion Auxiliary service at 7:15 P.M. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
