Richard E. Cleaves

Continental -- Richard E. Cleaves, 88, of Continental died Friday, November 6, 2015 at his residence.  He was born July 31, 1927 in Continental to the late Earl L. and Carrie I (Rose) Cleaves.

He is survived by his brother:  Robert Cleaves of Continental, his sister: Marjorie J. Warsack of Medina, and nephew: David (Cecilia) Warsack of Medina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Cleaves and niece, Carolyn S. Cleaves.

He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a lifelong farmer, and raised cattle, sheep and hogs. Richard enjoyed fishing, antique tractors and plowing contests.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Monroe Cemetery, Continental, with Pastor Terry Porter officiating and military graveside rites by Continental American Legion Post #541.
