RICHARD K. SCHOENAUER

LEIPSIC – Richard K. Schoenauer, 81, of Leipsic, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his residence.  He was born June 4, 1936 in Leipsic to the late Carl Raymond and Zelma Louise (Myers) Schoenauer.  On September 5, 1981, he married Carolyn Strite who survives in Leipsic.

Other survivors include five children: Darrel (Lori Greear) Schoenauer of Defiance, Brian (Lucinda) Schindley of Leipsic, Mark Schoenauer of Findlay, Anthony (Scarlett) Schindley and Kim (Tony Lomeli) Schoenauer both of Leipsic; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon Peck.

He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jim Peck.

Richard retired from Whirlpool.  He was a member of First Christian Church, Leipsic and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Tim Eding officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by the Leipsic American Legion and VFW.  Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
