Rita Clara Beining

OTTOVILLE - Rita Clara Beining, 94, of Ottoville died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 21, 1922 in Landeck to the late August and Anna (Krietemeyer) Beckman. On May 3, 1947she married Julius Joseph Beining who died January 22, 2004.

She is survived by ten children, Malinda (Sam) Childress of Vermillion, Dorothy (Duane) Oberg of Ottoville, Diana (Jay) Griesser of Kissimmee, FL, James (Marilyn) Beining of Indian Lake, Ralph (Amy) Beining of Van Wert, Janice (Gene) Wannemacher of Ottoville, Eileen (Tim) Horstman of Ottoville, Annette (Mike) Myers of Van Wert, Leo (Sue) Beining of Landeck, and Marie (Jeff) Turnwald of Ottoville; fourteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Beining of Ottoville. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Beckman.

Rita was a housewife. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its Altar Rosary Society. Rita was a volunteer at church, The Meadows of Kalida, and the Delphos Thrift Store.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday  at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a Scripture Service at 1:30 p.m.
